Leskovac, Serbia

So proud to be part of one the first projects for the production of electricity from biogas, obained from sludge in Serbia! Waste Water Treatment Plant in Leskovac aims to cover half of its electricity consumption from its own electricity production.

It all begins in 2011 when the City of Leskovac decides to build a Waste Water treatment Plant: the plant will be located in the village of Bogojevce and will be used by 130,000 people. As result of several years of partnership with Veolia Water Solutions Services Serbia, EMO is selected eight years later, to supply the equipment for the sludge treatment line of the Waste Water Treatment Plant Leskovac with a capacity of 86,000 PE.

EMO supplied and successfully achieved the indoor installation of two lines for mechanical thickening of excess sludge and transport of thickened sludge, one operating and one standby unit, operating every 3 weeks, consisting of two gravity belt thickeners, two horizontal frame integrated flocculators, one automatic polymer preparation plant and two local control panels for GBT full supervision.
